Spring fashion trends 2024 for women’s fashion have already had me shopping the Black Friday sales to stock up ahead of time on Spring 2024 must haves. I always like to be a season or 2 ahead so that I can share everything with you here. The Spring runway shows outfits for 2024 were a lot more wearable this year than a lot have been in the past. Companies need to stay in business, so their pieces need to sell. Some trends last for a decade, some for a season so there’s no need to do a complete wardrobe overhaul. As a lot of the spring fashion trends from last year like leather and metallics are sticking around this years fashion trends for spring/summer 2024 too. From utility styles to preppy polo neck dresses, leather skirts and vests to billowy dresses, there’s a Spring style and fashion trend for everyone.

My favorite 2024 spring fashion trends
There were so many different looks on the Spring/Summer 2024 runways that it was hard to narrow it down to just 17 Spring 2024 must haves. These are the ones that popped up the most and are the most wearable IRL.
Sheer layers, leather, metallics and crop tops are still in style and big fashion trends for spring/summer 2024. While mini skirts and wide leg pants are still around, midis and maxi skirts were everywhere and the silhouettes took on billowing, voluminous proportions.
For color fashion trends for Spring Summer 2024 think black, white, monochromatic beige and tan looks, and red. Along with the usual pretty pastel blues and floral prints for all of your spring outfits for 2024.

1. Preppy 2024 fashion | Polo neck dresses of all lengths
This is one Spring outfit I can’t wait to wear. As it’s comfortable, fresh and easy to throw on and go. If last years fashion was preppy with loafers, socks and pleated skirts, this years takes it to the next level with the comeback of polo shirts.
Whether that’s a more fitted style as seen at Gucci or a polo dresses as seen atAndreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, a contrasting or matching color collar. I really like the polo shirt dresses seen at Theory and Givenchy as an easy way to wear this 2024women’s fashion trend. Get ready to embody the collegiate vibe of 2024.
2. Fashion trends spring/summer 2024 | Headbands
This trend is only gaining traction. Whether it’s a wide elasticated fabric headband, leather, crystal or padded headband. Everyone is adopting this fashion trend and it’s a quick, easy and affordable way to update all of your Spring outfits for 2024. As seen at Chanel and Givenchy.
3. Billowing dresses
Volume is here for womens fashion trends for 2024. The bigger, more voluminous and sculptural the better. Just don’t expect to be able to get in and out of the car that easily.
Whether that’s a more wearable billowy white dress or something totally over the top. One of my favorite dresses from the Spring/Summer 2024 runway shows was the pink strapless dress at Rick Owens that looked like strawberry soft serveice cream. That was given an edge with its almost space age looking pink boots and orange leather gloves.
However, I’ll personally be sticking to more wearable everyday styles like this white mini dress I’ve been wearing on repeat for the last 2 seasons. Like I said, not everything has to be replaced each year. I actually like keeping pieces as I have memories attached to them.
4. Utility Spring Fashion 2024
Cargo pants and dresses are nothing new at this point and although Cargo pants are here to stay for Spring 2024 fashion it’s apron dresses and skirts that are the new way to wear the utility trend this season.
For women’s fashion trends for spring/summer 2024 think square necklines that almost looks like an apron to wear utility fashion. From apron dresses at Hermès that I’ve added to my Bali outfit mood board to maxi apron dresses at Christian Dior to apron skirts at Max Mara. If the runway shows are any indication of what the street style stars will pick up on, this ultra wearable trend will he huge!
It’s not just apron dresses and cargo pants that are in style. Think cargo skirts and jackets as well, in colors besides neutrals and not just cotton. Silky materials are in and even more comfortable. Plus they have pockets and the more the better.
You know I have a thing for pockets and am definitely embracing this trend as one of my Spring 2024 must haves.

This is one of the more affordable matching cargo pants outfits with on trend buckles and cut outs. This style is so easy to dress up or down for day or night and it’s on sale!
5. Spring Fashion Trends 2024 | Florals
Spring always seems like a romantic season to me which is why I love seeing romantic styles on the Spring Summer runways. The floral print and embellished 3D flower tops and dresses for Spring fashion 2024 are so easy to wear IRL and the cuts are so flattering.
Rosettes were a big fashion trend last year and continue to be so this year. We’re not just talking floral prints, although those are in too but 3D flower embellishments.
I love the red leather rose embellished crop jacket Balmain sent down their runway. As well as the oversized satin flower chokers Vaquera sent down theirs. I think that might be one trend I’m adopting for 2024 to give a feminine edge and add a statement piece to any little dress.
Floral dresses are another Spring trend for 2024 that may not be anything new but is an easy runway trend to wear and another 2024 must have.

Metallics are still going strong in all areas of women’s fashion including dresses, bags and shoes. There’s really a way from everyone to wear this high shine, glam trend whether that’s flowing or structured.

Feathers aren’t going anywhere. This trend is here to stay for 2024. Although feather PJ’s may be resigned back to the house rather than for going out in. The feather fashion trend for 2024 puts them in more unexpected places. Think wings and capes rather than feather trims. As seen at Mains, Koché, Roksanda, and Sportmax.
8. The Crop Top & Bralette Trend Continues For Spring 2024
Crop tops are still front and centre. What I thought would be a passing trend is here to stay for 2024. So if you don’t already have this 2024 must have, now’s a great time to still jump on this trend.
Miu Miu’s seemed smaller than ever and were styled on their own and also under sheer tops with knee grazing leather skirts and leather thong sandals. Which makes for an easy way to make this Spring 2024 trend work in real life. Especially after the Holidays when the last thing I want to do is have my stomach out.
Crop Top Styling Tip
Layer a shirt over your bralette and under your blazer for the office and then take your shirt off and leave your blazer open and bralette on display to take you from the office to after work drinks.

For Spring fashion 2024 bring out your leather or vegan leather. I love leather and it’s such a practical material for creating Spring outfits on damp or cooler Spring days. This Spring and Summer leather everything is making a massive comeback. From chic leather vests and skirts at Hermès and Givenchy to black leather pants coord sets at Chanel.
Create a sleek monochromatic outfit with a matching leather skirt and button or zippered leather vest.
Embrace this 2024 fashion trend with:

12. Dress to the Max | Maxis& Midis
On the opposite end of the scale from mini skirts and shorts are midi and maxi skirts and maxi dresses. The maxi dresses for women’s Spring fashion 2024 range from voluminous to sleeker more fitted silhouettes.
So grab a column skirt, tube dress or maxi dress for a minimalistic look on cooler Spring days. As seen at Zimmermann, Valentino, Erdem, Prada and Bottega Veneta to name a few.
13. Sexy 2024 Spring/Summer Fashion Trends | Sheer Layers
Sheer dresses and tops sound a bit daunting but are actually way more wearable than you’d think. A lot of the sheer tops like this one come with the bandeau top which solves the issue of what to wear underneath. Another option is mesh knit dresses worn over swimwear or boy shorts.
Sheer long sleeve bodysuits also look fabulous over sleeveless bodysuits and logo bralettes. Layer sheer dresses over bras and booty shorts and just go for it or opt for one of these fabulous dresses!
14. Top handle bags
An eternal classic, this bag was everywhere at fashion week both on and off the runways. The influencers rom Sofia Richie Grainge to Elsa Holk are all donning red Hermès bags but if that’s a little out of reach pretty much any red or black top handle bag will do.
15. Crochet, lace and mesh
Keeping the feeling of lightness going, designersused materials that allow our bodies to breathe and not just for resort wear. Think beautiful cut out capes at Valentino, fisherman net maxi dresses at Proenza Schouler, embellished wide knit mesh dresses as seen at Bottega Veneta and the most oversized, chunky knit cardigans at Loewe.
16. Spring Fashion Color Trends 2024 | Red, Beige, Black and White
Red
This is such an empowering color and trend to wear. Whether it’s a head to toe red outfit or a trending red top handle bag. The brighter the better this season.
Beige
Beige didn’t disappear for long as it’s back for Spring styles 2024. Especially monochromatic beige as seen at Ralph Lauren, Hermes, Bottega Veneta, Max Mara and Dior. If you’re worried about beige washing you out, it’s not a great color on me either, keep beige to your bottom half or accessories.
